Working with high profile authors can be pretty tricky. There are so many people involved and interested in the vision and direction of each title a major author puts out. With that said, I know going in, the project is going to be a major undertaking, to impress and satisfy, the art director, the publisher, managers, author, and everyone else in their camp. This project was no different. We went over 10 rounds on this cover project and after all the hard work and meetings trying to decide what to do, they went with a cover from the very first round. Considering all the extra work, blood, sweat, and tears, I was extremely happy they decided to go back to this one. No edits made.
